Detailed Solution

Two famous Tamil epics are Silappadikaram and Manimekalai. Buddhists are the authors of Manimekalai. The first Tamil epic is called Silappadikaram.
It is a 5,730-line poem written almost entirely in the akaval (aciriyam) meter, and it tells the tragic love story of Kannaki and her affluent husband, Kovalan. Tamil epic Manimekalai, often spelt Manimekhalai, was most likely written in the sixth century. It is a Buddhist "anti-love" sequel to Silappadikaram, including several of its characters and their offspring. The daughter of Kovalan and Madhavi, Manimekalai, continues in her mother's career as a dancer and Buddhist nun. 30 is referred to as monologues sung by any character in the narrative or by a third party about dialogues he has heard or seen.
