Two identical point masses m = 1 kg each are permanently attached to the other ends of the rods as shown in the figure. The rods are connected to each other by a massless spring of force constant k = 100 N/m. The spring is attached to the point P & Q of the rods where AP = BQ = 25 cm. Assume that the free length of the spring is 35 cm and it obeys Hooke's law. The rods are initially held at rest in a position when the angle  θ made by each rod with the horizontal is equal to  37°.The rods are suddenly released from rest. The motion takes place in a vertical plane.
