Two men A & B start from a point on a scooter at a speed of  30km/hr and 50 km/hr respectively. The distance a parts will they be after 5 hrs if

i) They move in the same direction ii) They move in the opposite direction

Relative speed while moving in same direction $=$difference of their speeds

$=\text{50km/hr}-\text{30 km/hr}=\text{20 km/hr}$

$\text{Distance}=\text{relative speed}\times \text{tme}=\text{20}\times \text{5}=\text{100km}\cdots \text{ (1)}$

$=\text{50km/hr}+\text{30 km/hr}=\text{80 km/hr}$

$\text{Distance}=\text{Relative speed}\times \text{time}=\text{80}\times \text{5}=\text{400 km}\cdots \text{ (2)}$
