Given, two numbers are in the ratio 11 : 12 and their sum is 460.
Let the two numbers be x and y.
So,

\frac{x}{y} = \frac{11}{12}

12x = 11y…………(1)
x + y = 460 (given)
x = 460 - y…………(2)
Substitute equation (2) in equation (1).
12( 460 - y ) = 11y
y = 240
x = 460 -y
= 460 - 240
= 220
Therefore the numbers are 220 and 240.
Hence, option 1 is correct.
