The ratio of two numbers is 5:3.
Let the first number as 5x an d the second number as 3x.
The difference between two numbers is 18.
Thus,

5 x − 3 x = 18 ⇒ 2 x = 18

Divide both sides by 2.

x = 182 x = 9

Substitute the value of x in the first and second number
First number is,

= 5 x = 5 × 9 = 45

Second number is,

= 3 x = 3 × 9 = 27

Hence, the first number is 45 and the second number is 27.
Correct option is 3.
