Draw the diagram depicting the situation.
Question ImageIn ABC,
tanθ=OppositeAdjacent So,
tan60°=DCCA 3 = 15BC
BC=153
BC=53 m
Now, ABD,
tan45°=ABBD 1=15BC+x        [tan45°=1]
1=1553+x 53+x=15 x=15-53 x=53-3m                                                                                                                           Thus, the distance between the two points C and D is 53-3m.
