B: From the number of valence electrons, we can predict or explain the physical properties of the elements.

The Modern Periodic Table has elements arranged according to their atomic numbers. So, as the atomic number corresponds to the number of protons and a number of electrons in the element, this arrangement groups elements with similar properties together. This ensures a systematic and well-organized chart of elements from which we can predict or explain the properties of the elements and their respective compounds. 

The number of valence electrons of elements gives information about the chemical properties of the elements. Therefore, from the number of valence electrons of elements, we can predict their valency, the number of possible bonds formed by this element, etc.

 Hence, Statement A is correct, but Statement B is wrong.
