Male germ cells and sertoli cells are two types of cells present in the lining of seminiferous tubules. Male germ cells give rise to male gamete of an organism that reproduces sexually. A sertoli cell (a kind of sustentacular cell) is a nurse cell of the testicles whose main function is to nourish the developing sperm cells through the stages of spermatogenesis.
