Detailed Solution

Under the Varna system, people were divided into different social groups. The social class system known as the Varna system was based on the Varna caste. The priests separated the populace into various varnas or social classes. Brahmins studied the Vedas and carried out rites in exchange for gifts that made up the first varna. The Kshatriyas, or rulers, comprised the second varna. The vaishyas primarily worked as traders and herdsmen and were considered the third varna. The Shudras, who provided service to the other three tribes, formed the fourth varna.
