In some grasses like Agropyron, in strawberry, potato, ginger, turmeric, onion, garlic, lily zaminkand, and Colocasia underground modified stems are present. Cucumber, pumpkin, watermelon, grapevine, Bougainvillea, Citrus, Opuntia and Euphorbia have aerial modified stems. Mint and jasmine have aerial modified stems like stolons. Pistia and Eichhornia have sub-aerial modified stems offsets. In banana, pineapple and Chrysanthemum the sub-aerial stems suckers are present.
