Detailed Solution

Using a resource at a rate greater than the rate at which it is replenished in nature is known as Overusing a resource. Usually, renewable resources are considered unlimited, but it must be considered that these resources also take some time to replenish themselves. For example, groundwater in India is being used in many parts of India faster than what is being replenished by rain, gradually leading to a scarcity of groundwater resources. Non-renewable resources take a long time to replenish; hence we must make judicious use of them. New energy sources are being discovered, but they, too, will get exhausted after a certain number of years. Although renewable energy sources are named, we should consider that some renewable resources take quite some time to replenish themselves, and overusing them will cause their scarcity.
