Detailed Solution

Venus, a planet, appears as the brightest star in the sky but is a Non-luminous body.
Light is an invisible energy which causes the sensation of vision in the eye. Light helps us see objects clearly, and reflection of light is the process through which we can see distant objects. Also, the intensity of light emitted by an object refers to the brightness of the object at any moment. The surface of venus reflects the light from the sun and is hence considered the brightest planet. However, it does not emit its own light and is known as a non-luminous body.
