Vikram Seth decide to buy a [[1]] directly for the homeward journey .

Vikram Seth is staying far away from his home since few some time before . He is feeling very exhausted , frustrated and homesick. His enthusiasm for travelling tempts him to take a very longer journey  to get back to the  home. His frustration , exhaustion and homesickness impel him so much that he forced  to buy an air-ticket directly for the homeward journey to Delhi.
