Detailed Solution

Turgor pressure/ wall pressure is a feature specific to plant cells and some other types of cells, such as fungal cells. It is a result of the pressure exerted by the cell's central vacuole, which is surrounded by the plant cell's rigid cell wall.

Animal cells do not have cell walls, and they typically lack large central vacuoles. Instead, animal cells are surrounded by a flexible and selectively permeable cell membrane (plasma membrane). Because they lack a rigid cell wall, animal cells do not exhibit turgor pressure, nor do they undergo plasmolysis or deplasmolysis as seen in plant cells.
