Detailed Solution

War veterans constituted the Free corps in the Weimar Republic.
It was with the help of the Free Corps that the Weimar Republic made sure to crush the uprising. This free corps mainly comprise war veterans. After the establishment of the Weimar Republic, there was a revolutionary uprising of the Spartacist League similar to the Bolshevik revolution. The ones to oppose it were mainly the Democrats and the Catholics who wanted Weimar to establish on a democratic basis. The political atmosphere in Berlin demanded a Soviet style of governance due to the influence of the Soviets on workers and sailors established in many cities. The tormented Spartacist population later founded the Communist Party of Germany. Communists and Socialists became irreconcilable enemies and could not make a common cause against Hitler.
