Water is pouring into a cuboidal reservoir at the rate of 60 liters per minute. If the volume of reservoir is 108 m 3  , the number of hours it will take to fill the reservoir is 30 hours.
Here, volume given for the reservoir =108  m 3  .
We know that,
1  m 3 =1000l  
108  m 3 =(108×1000)l 108  m 3 =108000l    Also, water is poured at the rate of 60 liters per minute, i.e. in 1 min, 60 liters is filled.
So, in 60 min (i.e. 1 hour), 60×60=3600   liters are filled.
Thus, time taken to fill a 108000   liters reservoir is given as
= 108000 3600 =30 hours    Therefore, the time taken to fill the reservoir is 30 hours.
