Detailed Solution

West Pakistan mainly consisted of Urdu-speaking Muslims, while in East Pakistan, the Muslims spoke Bengali.
Following the partition of India into India and Pakistan (West and East) in 1947, the rulers of West Pakistan, who spoke Urdu, continued to torture the Bengali-speaking people of East Pakistan. Eventually, the people of East Pakistan rebelled against West Pakistan. The Bengali people were subjected to horrors by the regime, and thousands fled to India. Under the direction of Muziburr Rehman, Mukti Vahini was established by the Bengali community. India assisted him and forced the army of West Pakistan to submit. Bangladesh came into existence as a result on December 16, 1971.
