Detailed Solution

When ice-cold water is added to a glass, water droplets are observed outside the glass due to condensation.
When ice-cold water is added to a dry glass, the glass surface becomes cold due to the low temperature of cold water. As the outside glass surface becomes cold, the water vapour in the air surrounding the glass also experiences this low temperature. As a result, it transforms from the gas to the liquid water phase and this process is called condensation.
