Detailed Solution

The mountain ranges in the eastern part of India that forms a boundary with Myanmar are called the Purvanchal, also known as the Eastern hills or mountains. The river Brahmaputra marks the easternmost boundary of the Himalayas. The Purvanchal hills are composed of sandstones which are sedimentary rocks. Also, they are densely forested areas running parallel ranges or hills. The Purvanchal range comprises many hills like the Naga hills, Patkai hills, and Manipur hills. Though this region is geographically unstable, it is enriched with a wide diversity of vegetation ranging from tropical to temperate evergreen and coniferous forests.
