Developed resources are the natural resources that humans have discovered, measured, and are currently using with available technology. Natural resources exist in the environment, but not all are used directly. Some resources are already explored, studied, and being utilized effectively with modern technology.

These are called developed resources. For example, petroleum in Middle Eastern countries, coal in India, and water resources used for hydroelectricity are considered developed resources.

Quantity and quality are known.
Already in use with present technology.
Provide direct economic benefits.
Help in industrial, agricultural, and domestic use.
