Detailed Solution

Dhars are Mountain Ranges. The Gaddis are a Himachal Pradesh-based community of shepherds. When they come down from the mountains from the Dhars or the high-altitude meadows, they tend to stop to shear their sheep, and that wool is used to make warm clothes that can be sold. The Gaddis are distinguished by their seasonal migration from one location to another. During the winter, when the high peaks are covered in snow, they graze their flocks in scrub woods at the lower elevations of the Siwalik range. They go north in April, spending the summer in Lahaul and Spiti, as the snow melts during the warmer months. When winter time sets in again, they return to the lower ranges of the Himalayas, mostly the Shiwaliks, and shear their sheep.
