What are the characteristics of Euglenoids?

* Euglenoids are mostly fresh water organisms.
* Instead of cell wall, it is surrounded by protein rich layer called pellicle and contains two flagella, a short and a long one.
* The anterior part is differentiated into cytopharynx(gullet), cytostome(cell mouth), & reservoir.
* An eyespot is present on the membrane of reservoir.
* Reproduction takes place by longitudinal binary fission and palmella stage is found.
