1. Pleated sheet structure or $\mathrm{\beta }$ -sheet structure in which poly peptide chains are fully extended linearly in space.
2. α -helix structure in which the polypeptide chains are coiledup to form a helix. The helical pattern is found to be right-handed and is called α -helix.
