Both cytoplasm and nucleoplasm are essential parts of the cell’s protoplasm, but they perform different functions:

1. Cytoplasm:

• Holds organelles such as mitochondria, Golgi bodies, endoplasmic reticulum, and ribosomes.

2. Nucleoplasm:

• Found inside the nucleus, enclosed by the nuclear membrane.
• Contains chromatin, which carries genetic information in the form of DNA.
• Provides a medium for transcription (formation of RNA) and replication (copying of DNA).
• Supports and protects nuclear structures like the nucleolus.
• Controls all hereditary and regulatory functions of the cell.
