Detailed Solution

Indian industry grew due to the First World War. It was for the reasons listed below:
British companies concentrated on providing the army with the supplies it needed during the First World War. As a result, imports from Manchester decreased. The Indian industry filled the hole this left in the Indian markets. Indian industries were required to provide the army with commodities throughout the conflict. They mainly provided leather boots, saddles, jute bags, and fabric for army uniforms. To meet the demands of the war, India established a large number of new industries. There were numerous employees. Manchester could never reclaim its previous position in the market following the war.
