Gram panchayat, Janpad panchayat, and District panchayat are the levels of the Panchayati Raj system. A gram panchayat is at the village level. It is the lowermost level. It consists of gram sabha and panchs. A district panchayat is at the district level. It is also known as Zila Parishad. He is the head of the Panchayat Samiti. A panchayat Samiti is at the block level. It is also called a janpad panchayat. Panchayat Samiti regulates the working of the gram panchayat.
