Detailed Solution

The possible reason for myopia is the excessive curvature of the eye.
There are two possible causes of myopia:-
(i) Excessive curvature of the eye: This leads to the thickness of the eyes lens, which decreases the focal length of the eye lens, and the image of the object is formed in front of the retina
(ii) Elongation or increase in the size of the eye lens: This leads to an increase in the distance of the retina from the eye lens. As a result, again, the image is formed in front of the retina.
