What are the safety measures to be followed during an earthquake?

If the person is inside a building, the first thing he/she should take shelter under any hard thing such as any desk, table, etc. One should stay away from glass things. Don't create a stampede to go out of your building. If you are not able to do anything then go and hide in the corner of any room. Do not use any kind of electrical equipment and if you are outside then run to an empty ground as soon as possible, and stay away from the big building.
