Detailed Solution

The Poona pact in 1932 brought an end to the rift between Gandhi and Ambedkar.
Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar led them as a well-known Dalit activist and lawyer. His viewpoints diverged from Gandhiji's at the Second Round Table Conference. He proposed separate electorates for those from lower castes. However, Gandhiji opposed this, claiming that creating separate electorates for Dalits would hinder integrating them into the nation. For his demand, he began a fast to death. Ambedkar eventually accepted Gandhi's viewpoint, and the problem was resolved with the 1932 Poona Pact.
