What Changed in the NMC’s New NEET Syllabus

The NMC (National Medical Commission) introduced a reduced / revised syllabus for NEET UG as of 2024-25. Number of chapters dropped: from ~97 chapters earlier to 79 chapters in the new syllabus. Some topics and portions from both Class 11 and Class 12 have been removed. There is more emphasis on experimental/practical skills in Chemistry and “measurement / experimental skills” in Physics. Core NEET pattern (subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology) with MCQs remains, tied to NCERT Class 11 & 12 content.
