Detailed Solution

Tea and Coffee are well suited for Laterite soil.
Tropical and subtropical climates with alternating wet and dry seasons are favorable for developing laterite soil. Deep to extremely deep, acidic (pH 6.0), and typically lacking in plant nutrients, lateritic soils are most common in southern states, the Western Ghats region of Maharashtra, Odisha, certain areas of West Bengal, and the northeast. This soil is advantageous for growing tea and coffee after using the proper soil conservation practices, especially in the hilly regions of Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu. For crops like cashew nuts, the red laterite soils of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala are more suited.
