Detailed Solution

The workers in England faced difficulties like low wages, overcrowded cities, and seasonal work during the nineteenth century. Workers' conditions were appalling in the 19th century. They were forced to work longer shifts and for lower pay. As a result, cities had a higher concentration of poverty than rural areas. Mostly, they were forced to toil in hazardous conditions in factories. Without the proper training and education, they handled machines in a risky manner. There was an exodus of people from rural areas to cities searching for work. Only those with family members or friends working in the factories could secure employment. Such people were expected to die in a workhouse, hospital, or lunatic asylum rather than in a better working environment because of the appalling living conditions.
