What do we call the substances which are obtained from petroleum and natural gas?

The substances obtained from petroleum and natural gas are commonly referred to as "petrochemicals." Fertilizers are any material of natural or synthetic origin that is applied to soil or to plant tissues to supply plant nutrients.
