Concept- Consider the concept of light beams being reflected several times back and forth in this question. Consider the mirror maze, in which several representations of an individual object are generated by using multiple mirrors, which act as many reflecting surfaces for the light waves emanating from the object.

Consider that there is some oil on the surface of a sea water, as shown in the image, and that the oil has some depth, which is also depicted. When entering solar rays (incident rays) strike the surface of the oil, one part of the ray is refracted into the oil and the other part is reflected.
The refracted component is reflected and refracted again when incident on the lower half of the oil, as illustrated in the figure, and the refracted rays enter the sea water. The reflected beam then travels to the top of the oil surface, where it reflects back and is refracted into the air, as depicted.
As a result, as illustrated in the image, several reflections occur in the oil. Multiple reflection of light is the repeated reflection of light through reflecting surfaces. Multiple reflections occur when the reflection of a reflected light ray on another object is mirrored again. Because the oil's surface is flat, the angle of incidence equals the angle of reflection but not the angle of refraction, as indicated in the picture.
