Detailed Solution

‘Equal Wages Act’ signifies that Law provides that equal wages should be paid for equal jobs for both men and women.
Equal pay for equal effort is mandated by the Equal Remuneration Act (EPA) of 1976. Women, on the other hand, are paid less than men in practically every industry, from sports and cinema to factories and fields, even when they do exactly the same work. To put Art.39 into effect, the Indian Parliament passed the Equal Remuneration Act of 1976. (d). The statute mandates that men and women workers be paid equally for the same or similar job and that discrimination against women's recruitment be prohibited. It also mandates the formation of advisory bodies to promote women's employment possibilities.
