Detailed Solution

The term "dikus" means outsiders. It was a word used among the Munda tribal groups of the Chota Nagpur region in Jharkhand. One of the prominent leaders of the Munda family was Birsa Munda. Birsa himself declared that God had appointed him to save his people from the slavery of outsiders. People believed in Birsa Munda to be able to multiply grains and heal all illnesses. Birsa was a member of the Munda family, a tribe that resided in Chottanagpur. He was credited for having unique abilities. In his own words, Birsa said God had assigned him to deliver his people from danger and set them free from the dikus rule (outsiders).
