Detailed Solution

Poland was partitioned at the end of the 18th century by the three Great Powers: Russia, Prussia and Austria. The partition of Poland fragmented its area between the three strong nations. Partition led to the collapse of the country. Though fragmented, the Polish language had not lost its shine. People of Poland felt pride in their language, culture, ethnicity and religion. They showed a sense of unity by clinging to their native language. They spread the message of nationalism through this. Poland was far more democratic than any other Eastern European country.
