Detailed Solution

Swadeshi Movement inspired Abanindranath Tagore to paint the famous image of Bharat Mata.
It was in the 20th century, with the development of patriotism, that the personality of India came to be outwardly connected with the picture of Bharat Mata. Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay first composed 'Vande Mataram' during the 1870s as a psalm to the country. Later it was remembered for its original Anandamath and was sung during the Swadeshi development in Bengal. Meanwhile, Abanindranath Tagore was also motivated by the Swadeshi development. Thus he painted the famous picture of Bharat Mata. However, Bharat Mata is depicted in this painting as an austere figure; quiet, formed, heavenly and otherworldly.
