Detailed Solution

Bhabar is a dry forested area that has pebbles. It is widely found between the Garhwal region and Kumaon. In these areas, the Gujjar Bakarwals, cattle herders or nomadic pastoralists of Jammu and Kashmir, come down to these forests of Bhabar during the winters for pastures. When the summers come, they migrate back to the mountains. These lands are found in the region south of the Lower Himalayas and the Shivalik hills in Kumaon, India. These are porous, and the presence of pebbles makes the rivers hide.
