What is a mashak?

Mashak was a leather bag used in old times to carry water and other beverages. The painting of the Agra fort construction provided in the chapter shows a man carrying water in those mashaks. The jute bag would have been impossible to use for carrying water because of its tiny gaps for air passage. Plastic bags are a fairly recent innovation, invented much later in the 1800s and silk bags were also unsuitable. The correct option is B, a leather bag. So mashak was a leather bag made using goatskin.
