What is another name for insectivorous plants?

Insectivorous plants are also known as carnivorous plants. Carnivory refers to consuming or feeding on other animals for food.

The majority of plants are autotrophic in nature and synthesize their own food and gather their own nutrients. However, there are some plants that cannot do so on their own. Some of these plants have evolved to capture insects and derive nutrients from them. 

Venus flytraps and pitcher plants are some examples.
