What is bagging technique? How is it useful in a plant breeding programmes?

* Covering the emasculated bisexual flower of female parent with a butter paper bag during artificial hybridization process is called bagging.
* If female parent produces unisexual flowers, the female flower buds are bagged without emasculation.
* Bagging prevents undesirable cross pollination and helps in production of plants with desirable characters during plant breeding programmes.
