What is conduction?

A conductor is a procedure by which heat passes from one thing to another. The Heat enters into solids, liquids, and gases with the help of conductors. This happens because the particles of energy are transferred from one place to another such as when a metal vessel filled with water is put over heat so the particles transfer the heat into the water. For example, metals like iron, aluminum, tin, copper, etc. are good conductors of heat.
