  • It is a disorder in which rapid production of RBC occurs in immature condition from not only bone marrow, but also from spleen and liver in foetus to compensate the haemolysis of a greater number of RBCs.
  • It occurs in an Rh+ve foetus, whose father is Rh+ve and the mother is Rh–ve.
