What is hypermetropia ? How can it be corrected ?

If the eye lens focusses the incoming light at a point behind the retina, this defect of eye lens is called hyper metropia.
To correct longsighted vision, a converging lens (convex lens) of suitable focal length is placed in front of the eye.
