Detailed Solution

The concept of satyagraha emphasised the importance of seeking out the truth and the power of the truth. It implied that using physical force to combat the oppressor was unnecessary if the cause was just and the fight was against injustice. By appealing to the oppressor's conscience, the end goal could be accomplished. Instead of coercing people—including the oppressors—to accept the truth using force, it had to be persuaded that it exists. Through this conflict, truth has to win out in the end.
