Draught breeds of cows are the ones which are very strong and used for labour. 

Milk-producing breeds are known as milk breeds and the ones which are used for both purposes are known as dual-purpose breeds.

Draught cattle breeds have been developed to withstand harsh, dry conditions and to survive on very little water and food.
