The Immolation of widows was known as Sati.
The practice of Sati was a social evil which is an action of the Immolation of widows on the funeral pyre of their husbands during the medieval period of India. It was prevalent in families as a traditional social act. During the period of Rajput, women became a cause of conflict as men Fort with one another two win and protected the women of their Kingdom. If men lose in the war, women are depicted as following their heroic husbands in both lives and die in the form of Sati.
