The SEBC is Socially and Economically Backward Classes.
The National Commission for Backgrounds (NCBC), which was established on 14 August 1993, is a constitutional body under the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment. It was established under the NCBC (National Commission for Backward Classes) Act, 1993. The Commission was established as a mechanism to investigate the circumstances and difficulties of the social and educational backlogs and thus make appropriate recommendations. Some other concerns of this organization are - to provide justice to the social and educational disadvantaged sections of society. Address the concerns of retrospective sections and bring social equity to the community. It helps the socially backward people to fight the atrocities and ensure immediate justice for them.
