Detailed Solution

In Northeastern India, Jhumming is the neighbourhood name of shifting cultivation. Shifting cultivation is a rural cycle wherein plots of land are developed briefly and afterwards deserted for a while to permit them to return to their normal vegetation. In this sort of farming, farmers, as a rule, pick a wood region first. The trees are chopped down and consumed. Then the land is developed, and crops are developed on it. This cycle is regularly known as 'jhumming' in northeastern states like Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, and Mizoram.
